It's an annual tradition

At the start of April, something happens, and takes up all of our time.

"Dang it!" we say. "We don't have time to do our Taxes, we have a wedding to plan, etc.!"

"I know, just file for an extension!"

Six months pass.

"Holy crap, it's October!"
